JERZY SKOLIMOWSKI ON FEST

In the exhibition room of the Kuca legata gallery in Knez Mihajlova 46, yesterday at 18h saw the opening of the exhibition of works of the famed Polish director Jerzy Skolimowski. The exhibition includes twenty acrylics on canvas and six works created in the last ten years. Owing to the reputation of Mr. Skolimovski and the effort of his gallerist Mr. Bohuslav Vojtovitz, this exhibition is slowly touring the globe. That was the reason for Mr. Skolimowsky’s short stay in Belgrade: immediately after the press conference, he travelled away, following his film „Four Nights with Anna“, which he made after a 17-year break. Belgraders will have the opportunity to see his exhibition in Kuca legata even after the closure of the 37th FEST Mr. Skolimowsky referred to at today’s press conference:

„I have to say I was very satisfied with the exhibition, for I saw some works I haven’t seen for years, some even for ten years. I watched them as if they weren’t mine, for in the meantime I painted some other paintings. And not only paintings. The feeling I had walking in the gallery was a strange one. I reckoned I was at a greatly organized exhibition with great works of art.“
