THE NEBOJSA DJUKELIC AWARD

The Jury of the Association of Film Journalists and Critics, questing in the 37th FEST programs for a film distinguishing itself with style, aesthetics and message, has unanimously decided to extend the Nebojsa Djukelic Award to the first full feature film of Mladen Djordjevic "Life and Death of a Porn Gang". Djordjevic's film courageously and almost pornographically lays bare the cruel reality of modern society, not only in the local context, but also in the global one. With its multifaceted and surreal poetics, with elements of black humor and shocking bizarreness, based on the brutal consequences of life in the post-war and transition society, “Life and Death of a Porn Gang is a drastic warning of the tragic supremacy of life over death in today's world, which is a common theme of most of other films of the 37th FEST.
