Episodes trace three generations of a family, from a surreal memory of World War II to modern day Berlin, unable to process their past in a society still coping with the wounds of its history This is a family where fates hold onto each other like gentle streams. How long are traumas inherited and how much do the events of the past define our present? How long do we have to carry other people’s burdens and can we decide how and for what price we rid ourselves of them?
