Nevena Daković

PhD Nevena Daković is a full time professor, film theorist, critic and publicist. At the Department of Theory and History of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, she teaches film and screen media studies at all study levels; directs doctoral studies in Theory of Dramatic Arts, Media and Culture and she is the director of the Institute for Theatre, Film, Radio and Television (FDA). She is the author of (Images without memory: trauma, film, transmission, 2020; Film studies: Essays on film texts of memory, 2014; The Balkans as a film genre: image, text, nation, 2008…) and editor of Atlas Ithaca, 2023; Soft Power of the Balkan Screens, 2022; Film and /screen/ media studies: Serbia 3.0, 2019; Frontiers of memory: Jewish heritage and the Holocaust, 2018, Media Archaeology, 2016; Representation of the Holocaust in the Balkans in Arts and Media, 2015, etc.) more than 20 books and more than 150 scientific elaborations and chapters published in the country and abroad (UK, USA, France, Italy, Poland, Turkey, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, China...). She is a member of Academia Europaea and editor of ER (European Review, Core Cambridge Journal). He teaches at American and European universities (UK, France, Italy, Turkey, Croatia…), and actively participates and manages international and national projects and conferences.
